I had a lumpectomy done on my right breast about 3 years ago. I experienced an infection during the healing process which did eventually go way. Recently my scar looks to be swollen and extremely itchy should I go see my doctor or could it be dry skin?

You have many of the requirements for an insurance company to pay for a breast reduction. You should definitely consider losing some weight to see if you still have your symptoms. If you were to lose weight AND your symptoms abate, you may be able to avoid surgery. If you still have symptoms, a consultation with a Board certified Plastic Surgeon would be the next step. you should discuss the type of procedure as having a breast reduction may impact on your ability to breast feed if you have children going forward.

I do not have this laser. However, I treated a patient that had silicone injected into her nasal bridge / nasion region on multiple times to improve her nasal projection. Initially happy, with time, she had the silicone "flow" = spread from the initial location causing her nose to be wider at the top of her nose - the nasion region. To correct this problem, I performed an open rhinoplasty procedure and was able to remove the injected unwanted silicone located beneath the skin using a CO2 laser to vaporize the unwanted silicone. This treatment pathway may be an option for you.

Hello - Hopefully this is a matter of semantics. Perhaps the insurance company is requiring a TOTAL of 880 gram reduction vs. 880 gram reduction per breast? If the latter is the case, you have taken the correct steps to provide a resolution. Another option is to seek out an appeals process. Most insurance companies have this feature. The supporting documentation including consultations from other board certified Plastic surgeons along with your previous back surgery operative reports and current pictures may be enough supporting evidence to have you procedure approved.
