I am a 42 years old I had a baby 16 months ago my breasts are incredibly huge and heavy and no longer are as firm and I need a revision. My back and my and upper body is sore due to this. I am taking prescribed medication for the pain. Pro bono work?

You first should consider if you qualify for your insurance to cover a breast reduction. Your second option would be to look into financing options (companies like CareCredit or Prosper Healthcare Lending). Third, you could check with local plastic surgery residency programs if they have reduced rates for resident training clinics. Best of luck.

I am 31 yrs and have received two cesarean sections. I am only 4'10 and i currently weigh 356lbs. I am not a candidate for bariatric surgery due to my insurance. I have tried to diet with no success and am running out of options. I know liposuction is expensive and I am not even sure it would help…

You should check why your insurance company is not covering bariatric surgery. If they won't cover it, you should consider bariatric surgery by paying for the surgery yourself out of pocket, the same way you would have to pay for a cosmetic surgery procedure. Plastic surgery, tummy tuck, and liposuction are all bad options at your current weight.

Can I still breast feed my future kids if I get a reduction?

It is possible to breast feed after a breast reduction, but there are no guarantees that you will still be able to. The architecture of the breast is changed during a reduction so women may be able to produce milk and breast feed a reduced amount, or not at all. I tell my patients that they should be able to try to breast feed, but will likely need to supplement with formula if they don't produce enough.

From what you describe, I would think that a combination of both implants and a breast lift may be needed to restore your breasts. Start with a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and find out what your options are.
