Thanks for your question and I'm sorry for your complication. The original size of the breast, location of the nipple relative to the crease and size preference all go into planning the resection. Sometimes the surgeon is limited in how much tissue can be removed because it can jeopardize the blood flow of the nipple areolar complex. You will need to wait at least 6 months and preferably a year to let everything remodel. Options would include further excision and possibly liposuction. The liposuction can be difficult in certain people because the breast is very dense. I can understand your apprehension about moving forward and it might be best to get a 2nd opinion. Best of Luck!

Thanks for your question. You have a very common scenario where despite having had an augmentation and lift the result has changed. This is a function of the elasticity and age of the skin and breast tissue. It is negatively impacted by large implants whose weight causes more stretch. Removing your breast tissue is not the solution in my opinion. Once it is removed it cannot be replaced. The native shape of the breast and the "insulation" it provides under the skin and over the implant is essential to obtain a great result. Mastectomy patients from breast cancer treatments struggle with this very problem. The use of acellular dermal matrices is often an effective way to help maintain the position of the implant. Tummy tuck healing

I had my tummy tuck done in May 2015. I'm still feeling a little numbness and discomfort. Is this normal and how long does it take to completely heal? Can scar tissue and lumps be removed?

Thanks for your question and yes you are normal. The area below the BB takes the longest to regain sensation. This may take over a year to appreciate much of a difference. It likely however will not return to completely normal whereas the other areas usually regain the original feeling. I'm guessing that lumps you are feeling are from internal sutures. Most of these dissolve over the first 3-4 months. Direct massage over them should help. This however should be assessed by your surgeon along with the scar tissue you are referring to. Best of Luck!

I think my saline implant is leaking

I think my saline implant is leaking from what I have read online it says that it might cause a fungus infection and can cause a skin rash. I think I have a slow leak and I have been having issues with a rash around my nipple and under my breast along with my arms, neck and face. Please advise.

Thanks for your question and I'm sorry that you are having problems. I don't believe that the rash and implant are related. First of all, if a saline implant develops a small hole and begins to leak, it will typically deflate completely. This happens over days to weeks and not months. Although not impossible, it would be exceedingly rare to have a rash from this. The issue of mold/fungus is exceedingly rare. I would see your plastic surgeon and would recommend a dermatologist evaluate your rash. Best of Luck!
