Numbness, swelling, firmness, and scar tissue with scar redness is to be expected for about one year after tummy tuck surgery. Be patient. Most lumps of scar tissue resolve without intervention. I would voice your concerns to your plastic surgeon to make sure you are progressing normally.

Thanks for your question and yes you are normal. The area below the BB takes the longest to regain sensation. This may take over a year to appreciate much of a difference. It likely however will not return to completely normal whereas the other areas usually regain the original feeling. I'm guessing that lumps you are feeling are from internal sutures. Most of these dissolve over the first 3-4 months. Direct massage over them should help. This however should be assessed by your surgeon along with the scar tissue you are referring to. Best of Luck!
