Thank you for asking. Chin implants and neck liposuction are a safe combination for most people. Talk with your plastic surgeon about your specific issues. There are several nerves nearby in these areas but surgeons are aware of these to minimize any problems. If a minor problem does occur, it is usually temporary and reversible. Infection is uncommon and precautions are taken to address this too. Best wishes!

I want breast reduction surgery and my insurance will cover it regardless of BSA as long as 1kg is removed from each breast . How much is that?

Thank you for asking. 1 Kg is approximately 2.2 pounds. This is a significant amount for breast tissue. Cup size is a different issue. A Kilogram is a unit of mass. Cup size is more a function of volume. So the same amount of MASS removed from one patient can be a different cup size (VOLUME) from another patient because the breasts may be different in DENSITY. Thank you for asking. Breast reduction is a very common procedure for women with larger breasts. It is possible for teenagers to have this procedure. Being evaluated in person by a plastic surgeon is critical. As far as size is concerned the “average” has a large range for normal. Picking a size/volume is possible and more likely achieved in cosmetic (non insurance) situations. See your local board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes!

My health history is 3 pregnancies (2002,2006,2014), breast reduction 2008, and gastric bypass surgery 2012 resulting in 140lb weight loss. What is recommended for breast augmentation in my case? When using larger implants 600cc HP under the muscle what is needed for this to be a successful surgery?

Thank you for asking. There are many considerations here given the history of pregnancies, massive weight loss and breast reductions. The skin envelope of the breast and technical aspects of you reduction need to be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon who has significant breast aesthetic and even reconstruction experience with the latest techniques. The tissue needs to adequately support the implant and there may need to be a consideration for an acellular dermal matrix in addition to the implant.
