Best skin preparation & aftercare
I am about to undergo a breast reduction and wanted to get some advice on how to prepare my skin. I am 23 years old and having big breasts since my early teens has stretched the skin around that area ( stretch marks visible). My surgeon mentioned that as my skin is pre- damaged and he can't promise that the result keeps its shape long term. He mentioned some creams I can use to improve the skin tightness as preparation and after care. Still I'd love to hear some more opinions. tips and tricks please! I don't smoke or drink and do my best to keep my diet clean which should help a bit! But I am more so thinking of creams and remedies. Thank you!
Taking good care of your overall health is the best thing you can do. I don't think there is a consensus on the "best" skin care to use on your skin in advance of having plastic surgery. One of the best things you can do to protect your skin is limiting UV damage through the use of broad spectrum sunscreen daily and reapply every hour to hour and a half when in the sun. While this isn't specific for your breast reduction, it is valuable to note when talking about skin health.
