Otoplasty Revision
Asked 2023-04-05
We had a local surgeon do an otoplasty on my son. We were specific that we wanted his ears all the way back...they still stick out and we feel the surgeon did not do a good job. Is it reasonable to ask for a revision and how do I do so without insulting the doctor? I do not feel I should have to pay any more money. Family and friends all agree the ears do not look great.

Your surgeon will not be insulted if you want to discuss the results of surgery. I understand that the result is not as you expected. Ears that are to close to the scalp do not look normal.
A discussed on the timing of revision would should be considered. Further costs if any should also be discussed.
