When is lower eyelid revision surgery recommended?
Asked 2014-11-13
I am undergoing surgery for cataract removal in both eyes Oct/Nov. How long should I wait before having a cosmetic procedure involving the lower eyelids? I was thinking February or about 3 months?

Eyelid Surgery After Cataract - One should wait at least 3-6 months after cataract surgery to do eyelid surgery, especially if it is a revision surgery. You will have an increased chance of having dry eyes if you are over the age 50.
Oculoplastic surgery after cataract surgery can be considered OK when your ophthalmologist says you are OK. This is usually very quick (3 to 4 weeks). Some prefer to wait at least 2 months before any surgery.
