How far forward on the face is numbness normal after a face lift, lower lid, and neck lift?
My numbness is felt everywhere my beard would be, except upper lip and frontal portion of my chin. It's driving me crazy. Is it normal to have numbness that far forward on the face, including cheeks?
Temporary loss of skin sensation can be normal after facial plastic surgery. It can take many months to resolve. Please address your concerns with your surgeon to make sure everything is progressing normally.

Numbness After Facial Rejuvenation- It’s not uncommon to have numbness after facelift surgery. This may take months to resolve and is part of facial rejuvenation healing. Please follow up with your Board Certified plastic surgeon.
Numbness after a facelift procedure is normal and expected a degree in areas of numbness or dependent on the technique and extent of the procedure. Consult with your plastic surgeon.
Numbness of the cheeks, neck and lower lids after a facelift is a normal side effect and not a complication. The extent of the numbness and how long it lasts depends on the extent of the procedure, varies from patient to patient, and generally diminishes over a period of months, up to a year post surgery.
If you have concerns, you should discuss them with your plastic surgeon.

Numbness after a facelift is very common and is the norm. A large part depends of the type of facelift and extent of the skin dissection. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon to make sure all is going well. Good Luck.
