Breast Augmentation is the surgical procedure. The breast implants are the silicone or saline device which is placed in the the breast to achieve the augmentation. Breast augmentation is also termed breast enhancement. Breast implants come in many shapes and sizes. Also, there are silicone and normal saline implants which can be smooth walled outer shell or textured. I hope this is helpful.
A breast augmentation is the surgical procedure to enlarge the breasts using an an implant or fat. Breast implants are medical devices that that may be used for cosmetic enhancement (augmentation) or for reconstruction.
Find a plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with and one that you trust and listen to his or her advice. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.
