Is it normal to hear sounds in your breasts after a breast augmentation?

Yes, sounds from the implant surgery are common and self limiting. Some patients are very aware and notice them all the time or only with certain movements. Other patients notice them rarely. They can lessen slowly over months time, but usually disappear in weeks. Continue to follow your surgeon's postop instructions and follow-up visits, and discuss this with him or her (or their staff).

To hear sounds just from Saline implants, or cohesive gel under the muscle is not common. Rare sensations in any of them is normal during the first 3 months, don't worry about it, and keep in touch with your surgeon always.

Dear Michelle, It takes some time for your body to form the capsule (the pocket) that will surround your breast implants and during this interval, it is very common to hear sounds or feel "movement" in the breasts. These sounds will usually disappear in a matter of weeks to a month or so. Please feel free to ask your plastic surgeon any questions you may have about your breast implants and your surgery. Sloshing After Breast Augmentation - It’s not uncommon to hear some sloshing after Breast Augmentation especially with saline implants more so than with silicone implants.This will dissipate over time.
