I am a 57 year old female that would like to have a breast augmentation, am I too old?
I am 57 yrs. old. I was never blessed with large breasts. I still look like a little girl. This situation has me depressed all these years. Am I too old? Unfortunately I cannot afford the procedure. Can you recommend someone that would do this procedure pro bono or just a little cheaper?
You are not too old to have a breast augmentation, and there is not age limit to perform this procedure, since you are a healthy person and the pre-op evaluations are right. Regarding the cost, the implants must be FDA approved and they are not cheap, and depending on the surgeon's experience and location, the cost can be higher. Choose an ASAPS member plastic surgeon to be safe.
Dear Maggie,
For sure age is not a criterion to have breast augmentation or not. However, the right question to ask is whether you will need a lifting procedure with the augmentation or will the augmentation alone give you a decent youthful look? to answer this you will need to consult with an ASAPS member experienced in breast surgery.
Best of luck.
