Is this normal?
I had a breast augmentation in August 2019. My left breast is round and looks how a breast should look. However my right breast is not round at the bottom and takes on a slanted shape at the bottom. My surgeon refuses to give me any advice on this or offer any kind of help and I hate how my breasts look. Is it normal to have one breast implant that is not full and round at the bottom like the other one?
Thank you for your question. It is hard to answer this question without seeing before and after photos. However, your surgeon should be able to explain the result so you can understand. In some cases, there is a pre-existing asymmetry. Sometimes on the side that looks slanted, the pocket needs to be opened more. I suggest getting a second opinion from an Aesthetic Society members who does a lot of breast surgery. You will get the most from your second opinion visit if you bring your operative report and implant information with you. You should be happy with your result.
If you have concerns about your results and your surgeon is not helping you appreciate why it is that way, its time to post photos on sites such as this and get opinions from the surgeons... or you can invest in a second opinion to see what the problem is and how best to rectify it.
Sorry to hear about your concerns. From your description it appears you have developed some breast asymmetry following your breast implant surgery. I would contact your surgeons office and schedule an appointment to address your concerns. If for some reason you do not receive any satisfaction, I would consider a second opinion.
