I am 52, 260 lbs. with 42J breasts. I can't take the backpain anymore.
I am not on any medications just allergy meds. I have permanent marks and grooves on my back and shoulders. I can't find bras and am not comfortable in my clothes. My posture is horrible and I really would like to see if I can get approved medically for a breast reduction. I try to exercise but I am limited with back pain. I can't take the pain anymore and I don't want to be 55 plus with this size of breasts.
It sounds like you need a visit to a plastic surgeon with experience with breast reduction surgery. This is a commonly done surgery. I’m sure you will find a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
It sound as if you may be an excellent candidate for a breast reduction which may alleviate many of your symptoms. My recommendation is to find a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area who has experience with this procedure. Best of luck!
Large breasts may not only interfere with your physical ability to function in daily activities but can be emotionally burdensome as well. From what you describe you are a candidate for a breast reduction. Breast reduction surgery removes excess breast tissue and reshapes the contour of the breasts so that they are smaller and perkier. It is possible to do a breast reduction with a minimal scar technique and can also be done as a outpatient procedure under twilight sedation. It's important to be sure expectations are realistic and you have an understanding of the commitment needed for the healing process. Make sure that you understand the nature of your surgery, the recovery process, and that you feel comfortable and emotionally ready to make these changes to your body. I suggest you make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon who will examine you and go over your surgical options in detail.
It is best if you can find a diet that works for you. Weight watchers has a great AP for the smart phone that has helped many of my patients and friends. Exercise is important 45 minutes minimum on the elliptical per day can burn some fat. See a board certified plastic surgeon, a chiropractor, an orthopedist a physical therapist and your regular doctor to document your continued frustration with back, shoulder and neck pain secondary to your severe breast hypertrophy. Good luck...
