Add a bump for symmetry
I am a 52 YO male. As a kid I had a much more crooked nose, bridge moved to my left side. I had the deviated septum fixed, which worked great! However, I did not do have cosmetic surgery at that time other than breaking to move over, due to cost, mostly. That was 25 years ago. My nose is still not symmetrical. There is a "bump” to my left side of the bridge. Recently I got hit by an insect while riding a bike, exactly on the other side of the bridge from this bump. More correctly probably I hit the insect. But he was a solid bugger and actually got trapped by my sunglasses right there. I am not sure if it bit or stung me, it was painful but not harsh. Anyway, long story short the swelling from that impact/bite looked great! Even my wife noticed. I have considered having the left side bump removed, but now I really want to add one on the right side. Is this possible? What would such a thing cost?
It is possible to correct an asymmetry deficit of a nasal bone or cartilage with a filler. I use hyaluronics such as Juvederm. If you are happy with this result a permanent filler like your own fat or cartilage can be used. Cost is $650 for filler and $500 for a graft.
You may be a great candidate for nonsurgical rhinoplasty with injectable filler. Results can last several years and the cost and recovery are much less than with a full surgical rhinoplasty.
