It was with a great sense of honor and pride that I accepted my role as President of The Aesthetic Society. My theme for my year, “energy and team,” will be a great recipe for success. This will be a year of transparency and accountability. Our Foundation 5K walk/jog/run with colleagues and friends from industry was a fantastic way to get the energy going and truly kick off the year. Thank you to all who participated and helped us Raise Cash for Research!
MY GOALS:
We are at a point in our existence that offers many opportunities for growth, and it is up us to capture “the moment.” We have a lot to accomplish this year. We need to continue reenergizing our base, grow membership, both domestically and internationally by elevating and engaging with the members - reimagining the education component and networking opportunities.
In addition, we need to increase the value proposition in our partnership with the industry. Finally, we will expand our relationships with our core specialties and continue to find areas where we can collaborate in education and advocacy.
As part of capturing “the moment”, we must take on a leadership role in the aesthetic market. This requires educating the allied professionals who are increasingly involved with providing aesthetic treatments. We must ensure that the safest standard of care for our patients is upheld. Hence, The Society recently launched a new tier of membership, AlliedPro, where NP’s, RN’s, PA’s, aestheticians, and office staff can enroll and enjoy the best educational platform. Please join me by enrolling your staff as new members of The Aesthetic Society.
The Aesthetic Meeting 2024 was a great success. The city of Vancouver lends itself as one of the most beautiful and welcoming cities in the world. This is where we thanked our past president, Dr. Mindy Haws, for her service and accomplishments during her term. We also welcomed the new Board of Directors. The Aesthetic Meeting offered great educational and networking opportunities.
Get excited for 2025’s Aesthetic Meeting, March 20 – 23 in Austin, Texas! We not only have an exciting location, but we have a new name for it as well, The Aesthetic MEET!
The Aesthetic MEET reflects our deliberate quest for growth and innovation and will continue to be the centerpiece of The Society… by continuing to offer premier educational programming, exceptional networking opportunities, and an innovative marketplace filled with industry leading exhibitors.
I look forward to an exciting year ahead as your President!
Sincerely,
Kiya Movassaghi, MD, DMD, FACS
